The NFC said that the he-goats would be brought in the capital from different districts to meet the excessive demand for meat and maintain rising price balance during the festival season.
In the past too, the NFC used to bring the he-goats in the capital during the Dashain festival for sale in the reasonable prices.
NFC´s Deputy General Manager Rajendra Prasad Baskota said that only healthy he-goats would be brought from Nepalgunj, Dang, Lahan, Hetauda and some other places to stop artificial shortage of meat during the festival.
The NFC has allocated Rs 24 million budget for the purchase of he-goats, Baskota said.
