LAMJUNG, Jan 7: Central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sujata Koirala has said that the NC would not agree on executive presidential system in the new constitution to elect Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as president.

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday, Koirala said Dahal can be a ceremonial President if he was willing for the post but the NC would not agree on the executive presidential system at any cost.[break]

She accused the Maoist leaders of attempting to derail the peace process in the name of the intra-party rift.

She warned that the NC would move ahead on its own if the Maoist did not mend its policies.

She was of the opinion that maximum of six federal states were appropriate for the country.
