BIRATNAGAR, March 26: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Chandra Prakash Mainali stated that the Nepali Congress (NC) be roped in the government for the effective implementation of the new constitution.

The new constitution was promulgated on September 20, 2015 during the leadership of NC, the biggest political party in the Legislature-Parliament and now the major opposition.

Speaking to the journalists at Biratnagar in Morang today, DPM Mainali has also acknowledged the role of NC for implementation of the new national charter, featuring the federal set up.

As for the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's official visit to China, Mainali opined that the visit was Nepal's attempt to strike a delicate balance between India and China. He, thus, urged one and all not to misinterpret the PM's visit to China as a malicious move against any forces.

As for the Indian ambassador to Nepal holding consultation with the Madheshi leaders, he said that that act was against the protocol.

Stating that it was not necessary to be at the helm of leadership on rotation-wise, he also suggested the opposition party not to play any game to topple the incumbent government. RSS
