The girl´s mother Januka has lodged a complaint with the district police office, reporting of her abduction on Friday.[break]
The tainted former lawmaker, who has been absconding following a raid on his house, could have been involved in the abduction, police said after preliminary investigation.
Although the minor´s mother had initially lodged the complaint accusing Miyan´s wife Zubeda and three other persons’ involvement in the abduction, she later on refused to name anybody in her complaint.
"We asked her to produce evidence against Zubeda and urged her not to get instigated by anybody," said Rabindra Poudel, spokesperson at the district police office.
"After that, she lodged the complaint without naming anybody," he added.
Police have been searching for the minor immediately after the complaint was filed.
She was staying at her sister´s house in Lekhanath and was kidnapped while she was out to go to a toilet on Thursday night.
Miyan has already been expelled from his party after being charged with sexually exploiting the minor.
