KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The Central Committee meeting of UCPN (Maoist) has been put off on Thursday due to the nationwide strike called by the party´s ex-combatants earlier rendered disqualified by United Nations Mission in Nepal.

The meeting has been postponed till Friday as it is said some of the CC members would not able to attend the meeting due to the strike. [break]

At the meeting, party leaders have been airing their views on the two separate political documents each presented by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya.

Dahal´s document has a major thrust on concluding the ongoing peace and constitution drafting processes, whereas Baidya´s dossier stresses on the need to go in for people´s revolt.

In his document, Baidya, who heads the dissent faction in the party and who floated his own proposal to counter Dahal´s political line, has lashed out at the party establishment, accusing it of deviating from its original ideals of revolution.
