Tilak,25, shot his second wife Kalpana,20, to death during dinner before shooting himself, but luckily he survived. Locals came to known about the incident only in the morning and rushed Tilak to Padma Hospital. Tilak has survived with a bullet hole in his throat. [break]
However, Tilak while going through medical treatment stated that it was a suicide attempt and not a murder.
According to Tilak´s statement, both he and Kalpana had decided to take their lives after getting fed up with his first wife. Tilak had been living with both his wives.
“We both laid our bed. After shooting Kalpana first, I pointed the home made gun under my chin and pulled the trigger with my foot,” said Tilak.
Superintendent of Police Ghanasyam Aryal said that they had found Kalpana´s body and injured Tilak inside the house. “All the windows and doors were closed when we reached the house in the morning,” said Aryal.
Tilak, who worked as a cobbler, is survived by two sons.
