According to a new report from the Dentsu Aegis Network, China is way ahead when it comes to preparing people for our fast moving digital world. The survey asked respondents in ten countries if they felt their formal education had given them the technology knowledge they needed for their lives, with 68 percent of people in China agreeing that it had. This compares to countries such as the U.S. and the United Kingdom with 39 and 31 percent respectively. The worst results came from Japan, where it would seem the education system has been well off the pace of the technological advances we’ve experienced in recent years. There, only 17 percent said they were satisfied with this aspect of their education.
