According to CPN-UML leader Raghuji Panta, who was also present in the meeting, there has been an agreement in principle among political parties to go for 601-member Constituent Assembly if that brings Ashok Rai-led FSP to the election process. The meeting also decided to ask the government to provide citizenship certificate to cricketer Sharad Veshwakar. Earlier, a delegation of the Cricket Association of Nepal had urged the HLPC to provide citizenship to Veswakar saying that Vesawakar was facing difficulties to participate in the international matches as he did not have passport.
Two-decade-long dispute settled in two days!
