With the introduction of new products, we are hopeful the market share will go up," said Anil Dua, senior vice president- sales, marketing and consumer care of Hero MotoCorp.

After the launch of Hero in Sri Lanka and Nepal, Munjal said Hero MotoCorp would soon commence its exports to Africa and Latin America in order to achieve its objective of generating 10 percent of its total volumes from international business in the five years.

According to the company, Hero reported its highest-ever sales of over 6.2 million two-wheelers in the year 2011/12.
