Four Indian nationals arrested with 5.60 kg of silver and over Rs 1 million

Police arrested them based on information that gold and silver brought in illegally by evading customs and importing and exporting goods were being traded at a house in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Police have arrested four Indian nationals with 5.60 kg of silver on Monday.


The arrested individuals have been identified as 42-year-old Ek Nath Dashrath Khadekar, 19-year-old Baibhav Ghutugade, 29-year-old Samrat Yadav, and 40-year-old Dinesh Mehti. All of them are from Solapur, Maharashtra of India and are currently residing in Nardevi, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.

Police arrested them based on information that gold and silver brought in illegally by evading customs and importing and exporting goods were being traded at a house in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.


Police deployed from the District Police Range, Kathmandu and the Police Circle Jansewa arrested them with 247 grams 720 milligrams of gold, 5 kilograms 600 grams of silver, and Rs 1.75 million in cash. They have been sent to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office for necessary investigation.
