KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The recommendation committee formed for the appointment of Nepal Insurance Authority’s Chairman has recommended three names for the post. The committee has recommended Sharad Ojha, Ram Sharan Pudasaini and Damodar Basaula from the five shortlisted candidates.
The recommendation committee includes National Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Dr Shivraj Adhikari, Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyay and expert member Jyoti Chandra Ojha. The Cabinet meeting to be held at 5 pm today will appoint one of the three as Chairman.

Pudasaini is a former Revenue Secretary. He is currently the Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank. Likewise, Basaula is a former Executive Director of the Health Insurance Board.
Ojha has worked as a correspondent and special correspondent in various media outlets. He is currently working as a special correspondent and senior manager at Clickmandu.
Out of the 12 applicants, Ojha, Pudasaini, Basaula, Kamal Prasad Regmi and Chiranjeevi Chapagain were shortlisted.
