Fire at Balaji Cotton Factory under control after four hrs

NEPALGUNJ, March 19: A massive fire that broke out at around 4:00 am on Saturday at Balaji Cotton Factory in Basantapur Sub Municipality of Banke district has come under control after four hours.



According to Inspector Ram Bahadur Chand, it took time to take the fire under control due to the lack of sufficient number of fire engines.

Chand further said they used two excavators to control the fire. With the joint effort of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army the fire was brought under control.


Ready made garments, raw materials and various machines were destroyed in the fire; however no human casualty has been reported in the incident.
