'Dreams' roars on the first day of release

KATHMANDU, March 4: The directorial debut of actor Bhuwan KC 'Dreams' has opened to a grand response in Kathmandu theatres.

Most of the theaters on Friday had to pull out Bollywood movie 'Gangajal' starring Priyanka Chopra and replace it with 'Dreams' after the overwhelming responses.The four theaters of Gopi Krishna Cinema, Chabahil ran into packed houses. "We had reviewed our earlier schedule of the movies after we received good response from Dreams," Niraj KC of Gopi Krishna added, "We will reduce Gangajal shows and replace with Dreams on Saturday."

Astanarayan Theater owners said that Dreams was doing a good business in its first day.

"Dreams show 90 percent of occupancy in its first day shows," Basanta Manandhar of QFX Cinemas added, "Our most of the shows are booked till Monday." He also said that Gangajal performed poor in the box office in its first day.

Dreams stars Anmol KC, son of actor Bhuwan KC and Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah, among others. Most of film was shot in Mustang district.
