According to Chief District Officer Narahari Baral, the curfew has been imposed again after the agitators resorted to violent demonstrations.

" The curfew had been lifted for four hours this morning at the request of locals for purchasing indispensable food items and for the conducting of Bachelor level first year exam, said CDO Baral, adding, "the curfew has been imposed again in order to prevent any untoward incident."

Gaur had remained tense throughout Sunday due to demonstrations by the UDMF. Student Tabharej Alam was killed in the police firing in the yesterday afternoon.

DAO had clamped curfew yesterday following the death of Alam. Alam was the 10th grader of Gaur-based Juddha Higher Secondary School.

Schools in the districts have been closed down in protest of Alam's death, demanding martyr status for the killed.
