President Yadav urged the leaders to make the best use of the remaining time for peace and constitution writing during a luncheon hosted at the presidential residence in Maharajgunj on the occasion of the Maghe Sankranti festival, the president’s office said in a press statement.[break]
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Speaker Subash Nembang, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal were present in the function.
Also present on the occasion were Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic) Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur and former prime ministers.
