Speaking at a programme organized by the Kirat Ganatantra Tower Foundation in the capital, today, he said the expansion of the Cabinet was not the national unity government.He claimed that the government has failed to provide relief to the earthquake victims and carry out reconstruction activities, immediately, adding that the government should have to move taking all political parties into confidence but it has not been so.
The UCPN (Maoist) chairman claimed that the activities of the government bodies and mechanism were traditional that the relief distribution was not made satisfactory though the opposition parties and the political parties in the current coalition government were working with unity.
He said the national consensus government could be formed for the re-construction of the ravaged structures in the April 25 quake and aftershocks and end constitution writing process. But for this, there should be the visionary leadership with strong willpower.
"There is no meaning of the expansion of the cabinet though the nation needs new vision to lead the nation in this emergency state," said UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal. "The national problems could not be resolved from the expansion of the government," he added. "National Unity with visionary leadership that plans and have willpower to implement them is a must to face the current natural disaster," Dahal summed up.
He added that in this state of emergency it is not good to wait for the others to give support but to work with unity depending on own strength.
During the programme, the Chairman of the tower Construction Committee and UCPN (Maoist) leader Gopal Kiranti said the tower would be constructed at Rs 30 million would support in promoting the tourism in the east.
