KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Balen Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and candidate for Jhapa–5, met with former Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar.
The meeting took place at Rana Magar’s residence, where Balen expressed his support and commitment to assist her election campaign. The leaders discussed unified strategies for a change-oriented political agenda, good governance, and accountable leadership.

Balen, who is also a proposed candidate for Prime Minister, expressed confidence that Rana Magar's candidacy in Jhapa–2 would send a positive message and pledged his full support for her victory.
The Jhapa–2 race features former Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Nepali Congress candidate Sarita Prasain, and RPP candidate Swagat Nepal, while Balen is contesting Jhapa–5 against CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
