BUSINESS BRIEFS: CCBL shifts Birgunj branch

KATHMANDU, June 1: Century Commercial Bank Ltd (CCBL) has said that it has shifted its Birgunj branch office from Adarshanagar in Ward No 13 of Birgunj Municipality to Adarshanagar Ward No 5 of the same municipality for a short period of time.

The bank shifted its branch office after its building suffered phyiscal damage due to the earthquake. According to the bank, it has opened limited services from the new building.

Sanima opens branch office at Sorhakhutte
KATHMANDU: Sanima Bank Ltd has opened its 38th branch at Sorhakhutte in Kathmandu. Issuing a statement on Monday, the bank said that the branch office was jointly inaugurated by its brand ambassadors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya (Maha) amid a ceremony held on Monday. "Local businesspeople and residents have expressed happiness over establishment of Sanima's new branch in their locality," the statement said. Bank Chairman Bharat Bahadur Thapa and CEO Bhuvan Kumar Dahal have expressed commitment to provide quality service to customers through the new branch as well, according to the statement.

Etihad launches 96-hour sale offer
KATHMANDU: Etihad Airways has announced '96-Hour Early Bird Sale Offer' across its business and economy class fares. According to the airways, economic class fare and business class fare to London has been set at Rs 45,000 and Rs 156,544, respectively. Likewise, economic and business class fare for Chicago has been set at Rs 103,580 and Rs 233,944, respectively. While the economic fare for San Francisco has been set at Rs 114,215, business class fare to the US city has been set at Rs 232,435, according to the airline.

Civil Bank's bonus shares listed
KATHMANDU: Civil Bank Ltd has said that its 1.89 million units of bonus shares can be now traded at Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse). Issuing a statement, the bank said that the bonus shares have been listed in the stock market as per the Nepse's decision last week. The bank had distributed 7 percent bonus shares to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year 2013/14, according to the statement.

CG launches two new sound bars
KATHMANDU: CG Electronics has launched two models of sound bars -- CG-SB52 and CG-SB52W -- in the Nepali market. According to the company, these sound bars have been launched keeping in mind the taste of today's youths. The sound bars have attractive features like LED display, FM radio, USB port and SD card, according to the company.
