Delegates are looking forward to a program of business meetings and networking receptions during March 14-17, according to BNCC.
BNCC Chief Executive Richard Pelly is leading the delegation.The group includes two major companies, Maybey Bridge -- a manufacturer of rapid build and modular bridging, and Roughton International -- a company of consulting engineers with international experience and specialist expertise in the transportation sector, according to BNCC Chairman Rajen Kandel who is currently in Kathmandu.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the Nepali government and Nepali entrepreneurs to take advantage of special relationship between Nepal and Britain to increase trade and investment," he added.
Three nascent companies from Scotland will also be visiting Nepal. Between them, they develop cultural hubs, search out ethical supplies and commission films, he said, adding that the Edinburgh Nepali Film Festival Company is looking to set up a development office in Kathmandu, and then to contribute to the training and development of young people for film industry roles.
Another three companies operate in the health sector embracing, medical, dental and nursing. They bring novel ideas, new technology and an enthusiasm to invest in the sector, such as in setting up a care home for the elderly.
One company will be looking for products that it can supply through its wholesale and retail business in the UK. Another will be exploring ways to draw attention in the UK through its successful restaurant chain. And another company will be talking about its offering in the education sector.
There is interest among the delegates to invest in Nepal's education, health, hydropower and the banking sectors, the BNCC further stated adding that the group includes Nepali delegates with successful businesses in the UK who are now keen to invest in their birthland.
