KATHMANDU, June 29: Chairman of the newly-formed CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, urged the party cadres to take the process of breakaway from the UCPN (Maoist) as a natural process.

Laying the foundation stone of Ichchhuk Cultural Foundation building on Friday, he said some former UCPN (Maoist) leaders separated and formed the new party after the UCPN (Maoist) was not ready to transform as per the Marxist theory. He said unity, struggle, transformation and breakaway in a communist party was natural process. [break]

Chairman Baidya said that formation of the new party was the beginning of a new chapter as the leaders of the new party would take a leading role to fulfill the unfulfilled dreams of the great fighters like Krishna Sen Ichchhuk.

He said formation of the revolutionary party was a must to pave a way to the current political transition.

On the occasion, Baidya said that the Ichchhuk Cultural Foundation should be developed as a broad research center.

He appreciated the life of Sen and said one and all should learn from the struggles of Ichchhuk and added he was a true revolutionary figure.

Vice-chairman of the Foundation Dr Rishiraj Baral said they had to struggle enough to establish the Foundation.

Journalist and critic Ichchhuk was arrested and murdered by the state force a decade ago.
