The sub-metropolitan city began the move as some of the locals ignored its repeated requests to remove the illegally constructed structures on their own.
As part of campaign, it had started the move last year issuing a public notice on the issue.

On Tuesday, the Sub-Metropolitan City demolished a Tinpaini-based compound wall of former lawmaker Moti Dugad today.
Likewise, it is also planning to demolish 10 more houses on today itself, said engineer Anil Singh.
