Nik Halik, who is a civilian astronaut, was climbing the Benbow volcano on Ambrym Island, Vanuatu, when he decided to click a quick picture with his smartphone, Express.co.uk reported.
Although quick Instagram "Likes" may be ringing in Halik's mind, the quest for a hot selfie was indeed dangerous, according to his fellow traveller Bradley Ambrose.
