The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, arrested the Chinese nationals along with the lump sum of money in the course of routine security check at Jagati, Bhaktapur.
Police have also impounded three vehicles (Ba 7 Cha 1438, Ba 7 Cha 9178 and Ba 8 Cha 6426) the Chinese nationals were using to travel to Khasa,Tibet.
After the preliminary investigation, police assumed that the Chinese nationals earned the money illegally in Nepal and converted it into dollars for the purpose of taking the cash to China.
