Sixty–year-old Sanchahira who is involved in commercial vegetable farming has used her income in social service.
Suman Rai and Prem Rai, sons of one Tika Bahadur Rai of Ainselukharka Ward No- 9, are those lucky children receiving support from Sanchahira.
The Rai brothers were about to quit school as their family is not well–off. But, they could continue their schooling following the kind help from Sanchahira who had admitted them to school on personal expense.
Suman is a grade six student while Prem is a one- grader.Besides, Sanchahira is associated with different social organizations in the district. Her monthly income from vegetable farming stands at Rs. 25,000 to 30,000.
She is engaged in seasonal and off-season vegetable farming in 12 ropanis of land. Her son Kishor is also helping his mother. Thirty five-year-old Kishor who has already visited Singapore, Thailand, Dubai, and Qatar in connection with jobs abroad has now followed his mother´s footsteps.
Sanchahira, mother of two sons and a daughter, remains busy the whole day in her farming. She supplies her produces to the local market and the neighboring district of Okhaldhunga as well.
