BIRJUNG, Jan 13: Some 320 gas bullets stranded in Raxaul, India, since four months, following blockade by India are being rerouted to Nepal.

Gas bullets have received approval for rerouting from Indian Customs following initiative by LP gas bottlers.  Now, the vehicles can enter Nepal through Sunauli or Jogbani checkpoints.

Delay in rerouting of 250 gas bullets occurred as they had already submitted documents at Indian customs office for import.

“Plans are afoot to reroute 70 bullets that have not submitted documents at the customs office,” said an operator of gas refilling plant.

Some 403,200 cooking gas cylinders can be refilled by 320 gas bullets and is expected to ease the current crunch.
