KATHMANDU, May 10: CPN-UML has suspended Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi after his name was linked to the fake Bhutanese refugees scam.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has informed through a statement that Rayamajhi has been suspended until the investigation and legal action against him is concluded. He said that the decision has been made to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

Police have issued an arrest warrant against Rayamajhi. While Rayamajhi is absconding, his son Sandeep has been already arrested by the police.
A Secretariat meeting of the UML held on Tuesday had asked Rayamajhi to cooperate with police in the investigation process.
Meanwhile, Rayamajhi has prepared to surrender to the police. Sources said that Rayamajhi, who is on the run, has prepared to surrender after the arrest warrant was issued against him.
