KATHMANDU, April 7: Janata Bank Ltd has celebrated its fifth anniversary by organizing a blood donation at its headquarters and branch offices across the country.
Issuing a statement on Monday, the bank said that 203 staff, shareholders and clients donated their blood during the event.

Likewise, the bank says it distributed 11 units of beds to deaf students of Devraj Higher Secondary School in Birgunj.
The bank also organized an interaction with its clients and prospective clients at its Accham branch office, according to the statement.
It has been providing its services through 36 branch offices, 28 ATMs and one extension counter across the country, it says.
"The bank has expanded its branch network in its five years of operation by giving priority to places where the presence of other bank and financial institutions (BFIs) is low and in rural area," the statement adds.
The bank has collected Rs 21.85 billion in deposits and mobilized Rs 18.79 billion in loans and advances as of Monday with a total client base 100,000, it says.
