UML youth leader in Damak quits party, joins Balen Shah’s campaign

In a message shared on social media, Khatiwada stated that he has resigned from his positions, including organized membership in the party.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Chhabi Khatiwada, president of the UML National Youth Federation, Damak Municipality Committee, has resigned to join Balen Shah’s campaign.



In a message shared on social media, Khatiwada stated that he has resigned from his positions, including organized membership in the party. He wrote, “From today, Magh 7, 2082, I, Chhabi Khatiwada, resign from my post as president of the National Youth Federation Nepal, Damak Municipality Committee, and as an organized member of CPN-UML. I have decided to support the electoral campaign of Balen Shah, candidate from Jhapa-5, embracing change, and continue the rest of my political life independently.”

He also expressed gratitude to the party, the youth association, and various social organizations that supported him throughout his political career. Khatiwada reaffirmed his commitment to progressive change and active participation in social life.


Shiva Dhungel, vice-president of CPN-UML, Jhapa, acknowledged some internal dissatisfaction but claimed that Khatibada has not officially left the party and has even participated in UML programs recently.
