KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Five people were injured  after police opened fire on demonstrators in Kanchanpur district on Friday afternoon. According to police a condition of  a protestor among those injured is said to be critical.

RASUWA, Aug 24: The number of pilgrims visiting Gosaikunda to attend the fair on 26 August on the occasion of Janai Purnima is on the rise. Chairman of Gosaikunda Area Development Committee Sanjeev DM shared that 2,000 plus visitors have already arrived in Gosaikunda till Thursday evening. The Gosaikunda Area Development Committee has expected the arrival of around 15,000 visitors for taking holy bath in the Gosaikunda lake.

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: The 12-hour curfew imposed in Mahendranagar from Thursday evening has been lifted. The District Security Committee lifted the curfew at 6 AM today. A curfew was clamped from 5 PM yesterday.
