KATHMANDU, May 18: With the Patan High Court giving him a clean chit on the rape case, cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is now fully focused on gearing up for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is actively preparing to include Lamichhane in the national squad for the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in the US and the West Indies from June 2.

After receiving a clean chit, CAN has also lifted Lamichhane's suspension. Plans are underway to send him to the US in the coming days, according to CAN officials.

Currently, Lamichhane is honing his skills at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. He is receiving assistance from batsman Lokesh Bam while practicing his bowling in the nets.

Additionally, cricketers Binod Bhandari, Sharad Vesawkar, and Mausam Dhakal are also lending their support to Lamichhane during his training sessions.

Moreover, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, the former captain of Nepal’s national cricket team, visited the practice ground on Saturday to observe Lamichhane's preparations. Khadka is providing valuable bowling tips to Lamichhane.
