Nepal spent US $2.04 billion to purchase Indian currency to fund imports in the first six months of current FY

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Nepal bought Indian rupees worth Rs 241.31 billion by selling US dollars to finance the imports from the southern neighbour during the first six months of the fiscal year compared to that of Rs 229.55 billion in the same period in the last fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Stocks witnessed a sharp rally in the morning with the benchmark reaching as high as 2,565 mark. A minor correction saw the Nepse index erase some of its morning gains. However, strength in the latter trading hours pushed the index higher. Following a steady surge until the closing bell, Nepse closed Monday’s session with 92.42 point’s gain at 2,586.01.
NTA determines 5G frequency

BUTWAL, Feb 14: Until a decade ago, 3.2 million quintals of sugarcane was produced in West Nawalparasi. Three sugar mills in the district used to crush sugarcane for three consecutive months. An average of 288,000 quintals of sugar used to be produced.
