KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Sugar mills have started facing a shortage of raw material as many farmers decided not to plant sugarcane citing the struggle they are forced to undergo just to receive the payments for their produce every year.

NTA provides internet service for free in 31 districts

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The Nepal Telecom Authority (NTA) has provided the internet service for free in 31 districts. Issuing a notice on Sunday, the NTA said that activities for the construction of broadband have been completed in these districts through the use of the amount allocated for the rural telecom fund.

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has agreed to increase the commission paid to petroleum dealers. This comes after the dealers pressed NOC to increase the commission of diesel and petrol by about 36 paisa per liter. The dealers had stated that it was difficult to sustain their business with prior commission rate.
