KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Sudurpaschim Royals have registered their victory over Janakpur Bolts in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Wednesday. Janakpur Bolts, who suffered a humiliating defeat against Sudurpaschim Royals, were bowled out for 51 runs in 12 overs.
Along with this, Janakpur Bolts lost to Sudurpaschim Royals by 72 runs.
After losing the toss and being invited to bat first at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Sudurpaschim managed to score 123 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Janakpur were bowled out for 72 runs in just 12 overs, falling short of the target of 124 runs.
On behalf of Sudurpaschim Royals, Harmeet Singh, Ishan Pandey and Dipendra Singh Airee took two wickets each, while Scott Kuggeleijn, Saif Zaib, and Naren Saud took one each.
Janakpur had secured victory in the previous four matches. With the win, Sudurpaschim Royal has overtaken Janakpur on the basis of net run rate and climbed to the top of the table.
