In a bid to promote export oriented industries, the government has planned to establish special economic zones in 14 places across the country. The government has allotted 1,000 ropanis of forest land for the purpose.
The Special Economic Zone in Paanchkhal is strategic as it is close to Tibet and lies on the Araniko Highway that links the capital with Tatopani.
