KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is leaving for New York, the United States, today to lead a high-level Nepali delegation to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
His delegation includes Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Chief Personal Secretary Subas Sharma, Personal Secretary Pradeep Pariyar and photographer Binay Shakya, among others.
Russian Prime Minister congratulates PM Shah
Prime Minister Shah will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport for New York on a Qatar Airways flight scheduled for 4:15 pm today.
PM Shah is scheduled to address the high-level session of the General Assembly on September 24. The Nepali delegation he leads will also include Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal.
During his stay in New York, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to meet United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
He will return home on September 26. This will be his first foreign visit since assuming office.
