KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal held talks with his Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel, in New York on Monday, discussing ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Portugal.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

According to Minister Khanal’s secretariat, both sides expressed satisfaction with the friendly and cooperative relations between Nepal and Portugal. They discussed ways to broaden cooperation in various areas of mutual interest and make bilateral ties more dynamic in the days ahead.
The two ministers also emphasized advancing cooperation between the two countries based on mutual interests, the secretariat said.
