Nepali man wins seat in US Democratic county committee

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Hari Sharma, a Nepali migrant in the US, has been elected an office bearers in Virginia’s Loudoun county committee of the Democratic Party during the election meeting held at the National Conference Centre in Landsdowne, VA.



Sharma was elected treasurer of the committee during Sunday’s reorganization meeting participated by over 200 Loudoun Democrats. [break]



Sharma, originally from Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, has been staying in the US since last 23 years. He had actively participated in Barack Obama’s election campaign for US presidency.
