KATHMANDU, July 2: A young Nepali football enthusiast has been selected for an eight-day football training session at the Manchester United football club in the United Kingdom, beginning from July 5.
Daniel David Katuwal, who recently turned 13 and originally from Ghaladuwa-9 in Jhapa district, has already set out for London on Wednesday to hone his football skills to realize his 'biggest dream', which he said, was 'football'.
An eighth grader at the Rupy's International School at Tahachal, Kathmandu, Deniel told RSS before his departure to London, that his biggest dream was to be a footballer and aspired to held the name of the country high in this game.
Towards realizing his biggest dream, Daniel, has trained himself in Bangkok Premier Academy for two months too.
"Back in my village in childhood, I used to play football with the makeshift balls made out of tattered clothes," recalled Daniel who plays as a mid-striker in the school football matches.
To further augment his knowledge on football, Daniel, back home is also receiving training by the former Nepal national team skipper Raju Kaji Shakya at the National Football Academy in Shankhamul.
"I will try my level best to introduce my country at the international level through the football," stated Daniel, who is son to the famous hair stylist Neil David Katuwal.
Father Neil David, not so a football fan, showing his solidarity with his son's dream said that he was leaving no stone unturned to help his son realize his biggest dream - Football.
Taekwondo Coach Sharma declared best Referee in the USA
Meanwhile, the Sangrok Nepal Taekwondo Academy Chairperson, Dinesh Sharma has been declared as the best referee in an international Taekwondo Competition.
Sharma shared so in a telephone conversation with RSS today.
He was picked as the best referee in a competition ' The Battle of the Champions of the America' held in New York city.
Some 200 players from altogether seven countries including, India, had participated in the competition where Sharma was chosen from the 20 referees selected for competition.
Sharma had offered two-week training to the players of the Penas Taekwondo Academy in the New York which stood first in the Battle of the Champions of the America. RSS
