Mulmi clinches gold in billiard

KATHMANDU, March 4: Saroj Kumar Mulmi of Central Region clinched gold in billiard and snooker during the Sixth National Games at the National Table Tennis Training Center, Lainchaur on Sunday. Mulmi came from a two-frame deficit to defeat Tipjal Dhungana of Central in 6-2 frames in the best-of-11 match.



Mulmi lost the first frame 35-65 and the fifth 27-76, but won the other frames 95-17, 98-15, 89-29, 97-20, 84-28, 79-21. Niraj Thapa Magar and Rajan Lama of Central settled for bronze. Altogether 28 players had participated in the event.
