Media Society urges end to obstructions at THT, AP

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal Media Society said on Sunday its attention has been drawn towards the obstruction caused by members of Maoist-affiliated trade union on the collection and publication of advertisements in The Himalayan Times (THT) and Annapurna Post (AP) dailies for the third consecutive day on Saturday.



In a statement issued on Sunday, the Society has drawn the attention of the government, political parties and professional organisations, among others, in ending the "blatant attack" on the independent press through negotiation and dialogue.
