Seriously injured in the accident, Bhima Kumari Rai, 40, of Laxmipur-2 of the district died while undergoing treatment in Siligudhi of India, said the police. [break]
Similarly, identity of another dead has been ascertained. Police said Lasang Tamang of Laxmipur-2 also died in the accident.
Bhakta Bahadur Tamang of Laxmipur-5, Ghanashyam Acharya of Laxmipur-2 and driver Uttam Tamang are among the persons killed in the accident.
The overloaded vehicle had fallen 700 meters down from the road near Amale Bhanjyang at Laxmipur-5 while heading to Laxmipur from Khudunabari, Jhapa district.
Similarly, 19 persons were injured in a micro-bus accident along the Mechi Highway on Sunday. Police said the injured persons are being treated in different hospitals in different districts.
