Hello Sarkar, which was started by former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai two years ago, has received several complaints from the general public during the festive occasion.
On Wednesday, the Hello Sarkar received a number of complaints ranging from undeclared load shedding and short supply of drinking water during festival to the environment for the upcoming Constituent Assembly election. [break]
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on October 15, Hello Sarkar received 14 complaints on Tuesday, the day after the tenth or the main day of Dashain.
Similarly, it received three complaints on the tenth day of Dashain, 15 complaints on ninth day, and 17 complaints on the eighth day.
Notwithstanding the festivity, a huge number of people are registering their complaints to Hello Sarkar.
People have to dial 1111 to register the complaints.
According to the secretary at the OPMCM, Krishna Hari Banskota, most of the complaints which they have received from the first day of Dashainn to October 15 were about the poor condition of the roads, especially in the rural areas, hours of load shedding even during the festival, dissatisfaction over the drunken driving campaign of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), the problem of drinking water in and around the Kathmandu Valley, frequent problem in mobile network, among others.
Banskota has also requested the general public to continue to register their complaints so that the government can address the genuine concerns.
The Hello Sarkar is available round of the clock for the general public.
