JANAKPUR, Dec 3: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav´s daughter Anu Yadav´s personal video camera has been stolen from VVIP lounge at Janakpur airport.

According to police, Anu, who had landed in Janakpur the previous day on personal business, had to spend some time at the lounge Thursday, waiting for her flight to Kathmandu. In the mean time, a group of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) staffers entered the lounge to greet their regional boss. [break]

Later she found that her camera was gone.

Police subsequently deployed a constable-headed team to search for Anu´s camera, but to no avail. Police rummaged through every nook and cranny of the lounge. They even searched Manaki Hotel where the regional chief of NEA had stayed. "All our attempts failed," said a police officer.

The lounge was overcrowded as over 100 cadres of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (Democratic) were also waiting for Tourism Minister Sharad Singh Bhandari. "It is hard to find out who stole the camera as there were too many people," police said.
