MAHENDRANAGAR, Sept 25: The security persons have evacuated 14 households from Dodhara Chandani Municipality of Kanchanpur considering possible risk of rising water level in the Jogbudha River.
Superintendent of the Armed Police Force, Prem Prakash Sigdel, informed that people from14 families and their household essentials were taken to the Jamuna Basic School of Patara Khalla.

The police team mobilized from Border Security Company, Devisthan took the household's things to safer locations. Chairman of Ward No 3 of the Municipality, Hari Singh Dhanadi, informed that the locals were made aware over the alert of heavy rainfall. Both the ward and municipality had issued preparedness notices.
"There is not much threat so far. But, alertness is adopted," he said, adding that the security agencies and local levels were coordinating well for search and rescue in case of need.
The District Administration Office has also set up a 'command post' to continue monitoring of the situation and minimize disaster impact and augment coordination. The Nepali Army, the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Police have readied the trained workforce along with rescue materials.
