GANDAKI, Aug 24: The CPN-UML has decided to withdraw its ministers from the Gandaki Province government.
UML parliamentary party board made the decision at a meeting held on Tuesday, according to party deputy leader Lil Bahadur Thapa Magar.

“UML ministers are preparing to submit their resignations,” Thapa said, adding that the party would begin talks with the Nepali Communist Party and other parties on how to move forward under the changed political circumstances.
He said the UML and Nepali Communist Party would also jointly explore forming a government in Gandaki, following the two parties’ power-sharing arrangements in other provinces.
The current Nepali Congress-led Gandaki government has four UML ministers: Govinda Bahadur Nepali as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management, Bhim Karki as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Yashoda Rimal as Minister for Industry and Tourism, and Laxman Pandey as Minister for Health.
They were appointed during a Cabinet reshuffle on April 15.
