KATHMANDU, April 22: The Patan High Court is hearing an appeal filed by Sandeep Lamichhane, former captain of the national cricket team, against the decision of the Kathmandu District Court.
Previously, on April 15, judges Munendra Prasad Awasthi and Durga Prasad Dhungel ordered the applicant Gaushala, 26, of Tadi Rural Municipality to submit documents clearly mentioning her date of birth.

Following the High Court’s order, Gaushala 2 of Tadi Rural Municipality has submitted the necessary details.
Lamichhane, convicted by the Kathmandu District Court in a rape case, has appealed to the High Court against the lower court’s decision.
On February 22, Lamichhane lodged an appeal at the Patan High Court, against the Nepal government.
The district court had previously convicted him of rape and sentenced him to eight years in prison.
