KATHMANDU, July 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed three more COVID-19 deaths on Thursday.
According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for MoHP, a 45 years old man from Sunbarsi Municipality-8 of Morang district succumbed to COVID-19 on July 29. He was admitted to COVID Hospital Biratnagar after he complained of fever and breathing difficulties.
He was later referred to BP Koirala Institute of Health Science for further treatment. It has been learnt that he was a frequent visitor to India.
Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 107
A 70-year old man from Birgunj Metropolitan City-7 also died of COVID-19 on the same day. He was admitted to Narayani Hospital on July 23. The deceased is learnt to have been suffering from heart disease and diabetes.
In yet another case of COVID-19 death in the country, a 68-years old man from Birgunj Metropolitan City-5, who was a kidney patient, died of COVID-19 on July 29. Earlier on July 22, he had tested positive for the virus and was admitted to Narayani Hospital on July 28.
Altogether 52 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal as of Thursday.
The Health Ministry also confirmed 274 new cases of and 227 cases of COVID-19 recovery in the past 24 hours.
