Bullion price goes up by Rs 600 per tola

KATHMANDU, July 8: The price of gold has increased by Rs 600 per tola (11.66 grams) in a single day.

KATHMANDU, July 8: The price of gold has increased by Rs 600 per tola (11.66 grams) in a single day.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the precious yellow metal was traded for Rs 91,500 per tola on Wednesday. It was traded for Rs 90,900 per tola in the bullion market. The bullion market has been fluctuating since the market opened after more than two and a half months of lockdown.

After the market reopened, the price of the precious yellow metal rose by Rs 10,400 per tola from the last rate published by the FENEGOSIDA before the country went for a lockdown on March 23. The price was set at Rs 77,000 per tola then.


Similarly, the price of silver has been constantly increasing since the market reopened. Silver was traded for Rs 955 per tola on Wednesday whereas its price was Rs 950 per tola on Tuesday.
