Marshall Bruce Mathers III, better known as Eminem is one of the world's most famous rappers. He has won several Grammy Awards and his albums are platinum bestsellers. He has fans all over the world and many popular musicians say his style has inspired them. Now a new biography of his will be written by Anthony Bozza. Titled Not Afraid: The Evolution of Eminem, the book is about the years Eminem spent out of the public eye, looking into his personal life, his struggle with addiction and his re-emergence into the music scene.
Anthony Bozza is a writer and journalist. He first met Eminem while working for Rolling Stone. Bozza had written a biography on Eminem previously, Whatever You Say I Am: The Life and Times of Eminem. Published in 2003, the book looked into his rise to fame.
The book will be published by Blink Publishing and Bonnier Books UK, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights.
The publisher said: “With unprecedented access and building on decades of research, Anthony’s book will be an intimate portrait of an incredibly private man and an essential gift for millions of Eminem fans worldwide,” as reported by the Bookseller.
Oliver Holden-Rea, the senior editor for adult non-fiction, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Anthony to Blink. He is a brilliant writer and has worked closely with some of world’s biggest artists, powerfully weaving together their music with the events that inspired them. Eminem normally doesn’t talk about his life outside of his music, so we are very proud to be publishing the quintessential book on arguably the greatest rapper of all time.”
Not Afraid: The Evolution of Eminem will be published in October.
