The solar eclipse will start at 5:57 am but it will be witnessed only after sunrise at 6:22 am, told Committee Chairman Prof Dr Ram Chandra Gautam.
The prime time of the partial solar eclipse is set at 6:27 am while it will pass over at 7:02 am.
Customarily, the government has been declaring public holidays during the solar eclipses. As the Ghyalbo Lhosar falls on the day of the eclipse, the government will not have to make any such announcement for public holiday, said Home Ministry Spokesperson Yadav Koirala. RSS
